Thousands Attend Opening Day of Specialty Coffee Expo Houston

Trade Show Takes Place Through Sunday, April 28 - George R. Brown Convention Center

HOUSTON, TX, April 26, 2025 – Opening day of Specialty Coffee Expo, North America's premier coffee trade show, attracted thousands of coffee professionals and enthusiasts to the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas. Thousands of attendees from 85 countries are planning to attend the event to see the best in coffee innovation, culture, and sustainability, and participate in networking opportunities that support commerce and trade.  

Luciano Delpozzo, President of Middleby Coffee Solutions Group, cut the ribbon to open the show. On his left are Yannis Apostolopoulos, CEO, and Garfield Kerr, President of the Specialty Coffee Association. 

The sold-out Exhibition Hall features 649 exhibiting companies, including Title Sponsor Middleby Coffee Solutions Group, Diamond Sponsor Sanremo Coffee Machines, and Platinum Sponsor Pacific Barista Series. Peru will be featured as the Portrait Country. 

Representatives from 85 countries are exhibiting and attending the event.  

Specialty Coffee Association and Colombian Coffee Growers Federation (FNC) Sign Landmark Agreement to Advance Specialty Coffee Traceability and Value 

During the Expo, the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) and the Colombian Coffee Growers Federation (FNC) proudly announced the signing of a transformative Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today at the Specialty Coffee Expo in Houston. This partnership marks a significant step forward in enhancing the differentiation, traceability, and global appreciation of Colombian specialty coffees. Historically, the SCA and FNC have collaborated on various projects, but this new formal agreement unites their strengths in a shared vision: to unify specialty coffee standards and create new opportunities for producers across Colombia.
